Frequently Asked Questions

Sizing, Fit & Garment Care

How does your sizing work?

Our tees are designed to be oversized, slightly cropped and unisex. That means more room through the chest and shoulders without the long, baggy fit. In most cases you won’t need to size up. If you usually wear a small, go for a small. If you’re normally a large, stick with a large.

Updated sizing?!

Since our first drop (the Peninsula Tee) we’ve had a lot of helpful feedback. One big takeaway was that the crop was a bit too short for the L and XL sizes. So we’ve added some length to those without making them baggy. If you wear XS to M, the fit is the same as before.

NEW SIZE: XXL

With the Sherbrooke Collection launch, we’ve added XXL to our size range.

How should I care for my Plant Dyed garments?

Plant dye is a little more delicate than regular dye. It’s best to wash these pieces on a cold, gentle cycle with similar or darker colours. Even better, wash them by hand. And absolutely no tumble dryer!

Water-based screen print ink? What's that about?

Water based screen printing is an eco friendly alternative to standard plastisol inks. It’s better for the planet and safer for the people printing your garments. It also feels softer and more breathable, so your back won’t get as sweaty when you wear our graphic tees.

Shipping & Returns

Where can I pick up my order?

La Roca Boulders in Oakleigh South has kindly agreed to be our pick up spot for all orders.

What do I need to bring when picking up?

Just bring your order confirmation email and the staff will grab your parcel for you.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, you can, as long as the item is unworn and in the same condition you received it.

What if my item arrives damaged?

If your item arrives damaged, we’ll cover the cost of sending it back and you can choose a full refund or an exchange if we still have stock available.

When can i get my order?

Please allow 2 to 3 days before your order is ready for collection. For shipped orders, we use Australia Post, so delivery times depend on them. As we get closer to Christmas, things can slow down a bit, so your parcel may take a little longer than usual.

Extra Details

Extra info about materials, drops and restocks and why we stamp our garments

Will sold-out items come back?

Sorry, no. Once their sold out they'll never be restocked, especially with our location specific collections.

Why stamp numbers on the clothes?

The edition numbers are our way of showing that every piece is truly small batch and hand stamped by Chi. It also creates a little moment of connection between you and the garment. People often get excited when they realise their tee has a number (e.g 3 of 30 or 25 of 70), and we love seeing that. We hope that feeling of having something unique helps keep our pieces loved and out of landfill.

How often do you release new drops?

That’s a great question. New garments are always in the works, being sampled and refined, but because we produce in very small batches, we’re often at the end of the production queue which means longer lead times. So the honest answer is that new drops happen when they’re ready.

Whats with the RDA numbers on all your clothes??

It’s just our way of keeping track of each item and season. We started using the numbers for organising stock and it ended up becoming part of the brand, so we kept it.

Can I reserve a piece ahead of time?

Sorry, no. Keeping track of what’s reserved and what’s actually available gets messy fast, even at a small scale. So we don’t offer holds or reservations.

What does small-batch production mean?

Small batch means making a much smaller number of garments per style compared to what you’d see in a regular retail store. Since Rest Days is still early and intentionally small, we only produce what we realistically think we can sell. For example, the Peninsula Tee was a run of 70, and each piece in the Sherbrooke Collection was made in a run of 30.
